Austin, Texas — March 27, 2025 — Interplay Learning, the leader in immersive education for the skilled trades, has been named by Forbes as one of America’s best startup employers. Their inclusion on the 2025 list marks the third year in a row that Interplay Learning has received this distinction.
The annual Forbes list—designed to help job seekers identify the best opportunities for sustainable career growth within the startup sector—surveys more than 3,000 companies from across the United States, focusing on those with 50 or more employees. Only companies founded between 2015 and 2022 were eligible for this year’s list.
“As we plan for continued momentum and strategic growth, we understand the importance of having top talent in place,” said Doug Donovan, CEO and founder at Interplay Learning. “Our goal is to provide employees with an environment in which they can flourish personally as well as professionally, and we are honored to see those efforts celebrated for the third year straight.”
The Forbes list assesses startups on the basis of three criteria—company reputation, employer satisfaction and growth.
- Company reputation is based on perceptions of the employer’s culture and overall employee engagement levels, as determined through the analysis of relevant blogs and social media posts.
- Employee satisfaction assesses online reviews as well as company policies related to compensation, healthcare, flexibility and diversity.
- Growth encompasses the company’s head counts, career openings and website traffic growth over a two-year span.
“At Interplay Learning, we have always attracted passionate employees, diverse in many respects yet like-minded in our love for the trades,” said Donovan. “The employee culture we have created is a feather in our cap and stands as one of the assets we are most proud of.”
